Compensation Statement
Pacific Benefit Planners receives income primarily from three sources.
Insurance carriers set a commission level to be paid for placing insurance through their company. The commission is part of the premium paid by the client to the carrier and is approved by the Oregon Insurance Commission. We receive the set commission from carriers when we place insurance products for our clients.
We charge fees when we provide consulting services. In those instances, we establish an agreement for consulting services to be provided, the time frame for the consultation and the fees for the services.
Some carriers also provide performance-based bonuses. These incentives are given for new, retained and volume of insurance placed. Overall, performance bonuses amount to less than 1% of the commission we receive from carriers.
Our clients can depend on Pacific Benefit Planners to place their interests and welfare first and income second. We hold ourselves to high industry standards for quality and service so that we earn our clients’ business.
